Sometimes I wonder if the world has forgotten how to play. The other day I was thinking about childhood and those long afternoons that seemed to stretch forever. I realised how much of that world has disappeared. When I was young,
"Some days I catch myself scrolling through other people's thoughts before I've even had a chance to hear my own." This! All of this... all you have written here... it's a very real epidemic. I refuse to extinguish the part of me that wants to play and dream and create. I will never stop swooning over sunsets and daisies, I'll never not gasp in awe and delight at a new leaf sprouting on my houseplants. You are so right in what you say - society has been conditioned to produce produce produce... it's time we all learned to simply be, to see the joy, to courageously experiment, to unashamedly just-for-the-fun-of-it play!
